Updated processes for responsible economic operators in the EU

In accordance with the Digital Services Act, bol has improved the processes of indicating to the consumer who the responsible economic operator in the EU is.

Via the new Economic Operators resource, partners can now create and manage their own economic operators. These economic operators can then be linked to a partner's offer. The existing offer endpoints have been updated to include the economicOperatorId as an optional attribute. This gives partners full autonomy to manage their own data. Economic operators are specific to each partner and are not shared between them.

The economic operator fields in the content data model have been removed. What was previously uploaded will remain visible in the webshop until February 1st 2025. Afterwards, they will be deleted.

The management of economic operators and linking them to offers is possible through the Retailer API and through the bol seller dashboard.
