Open API beta endpoints available in Retailer API
We are currently developing new endpoints to transfer retailer relevant Open API functionalities to Retailer API. Reason for this is that by Q3 of 2023 we will no longer be able to support the Open API fully. We will deliver all endpoints in v9 of Retailer API, by April 1st. For you, it’s beneficial to switch over to Retailer API before July 1st to ensure stability and support.
The endpoints are currently being developed and delivered; with the first three endpoints now in beta. That means that you can now start implementing these endpoints.
As per usual, the beta endpoints are a way for us to gather your feedback and to make changes if needed before the endpoints become GA. Therefore, if you implement these beta endpoints now and share your feedback with us this would be greatly appreciated.
Your feedback can be sent to email@example.com.
If you implement the beta endpoints now you can share your feedback with us via firstname.lastname@example.org.
About the endpoints
The following endpoints are now available in beta:
This endpoint enables you to retrieve all active offers for a product providing detailed information about the competitiveness of the offers. For more information, see the functional documentation and Redoc.
With this endpoint you can retrieve the customer ratings and reviews for a specific retailer. For more information, see the functional documentation and Redoc.
This endpoint helps you retrieve the product categories and location of a specific product in the webshop. For more information, see the functional documentation and Redoc.
This functionality provides a list of products based on category, search term or filters that reflects the current ranking of a product within that list for the specified country on the webshop. For more information, see the functional documentation and Redoc.
Product list filters
This functionality provides the filter options and categories for a product on the bol.com webshop. It helps the customers refine their search results and find their desired product, based on a category or search term. For more information, see the functional documentation and Redoc.
Product ratings indicate how consumers have rated a specific product thereby displaying aggregated reviews for your products. This functionality provides access to the product ratings provided by the consumers on the webshop. For more information, see the functional documentation and Redoc.
Assets include all types of content such as images, videos, manuals or other supporting elements that can be added to a product. This endpoint enables you to retrieve detailed information about the image assets associated with a specific product. Product assets are vital for retailers to grow their businesses. For example, high quality images not only allow customers to make an informed decision but also improves brand loyalty and trust, leading to growth in sales. For more information, see the functional documentation and Redoc.
We understand that migrating to a new API can be challenging, so we have created a migration guide to make the process as smooth as possible. The new endpoints are designed to align with the conventions and principles of Retailer API, and thus have a different setup compared to Open API. To assist you, we have included an endpoint mapping, object mapping, and an FAQ section to provide an overview of the key changes.
