As we announced by email in October and December, as of 1 January 2021, it will unfortunately no longer be possible to purchase a DPD shipping label via the API v3. As indicated in the mailings, the following four alternatives are possible:
- Use the API v4
Switch to the API v4 for the shipping labels endpoint. In the API v4 it will remain possible after 1 January to purchase shipping labels from DPD. In the API v4 the shipping label flow has been greatly improved. It has access to a more stable service, with which orders are processed even faster.
It is not necessary to directly switch to the API v4 for all endpoints. For example, you can also only use the v4 for the shipping labels endpoint. Discuss this with your technical contact person for the API. On this page and the next page you will find more information about the endpoint in the API v4.
- Choose a different carrier via the API v3
Would you rather not switch to the new API v4? Then choose a different carrier via the v3 from 1 January. Other carrier options will continue to work in the v3. No technical adjustments are required for this.
Note: for shipments from the Netherlands to Belgium there is no alternative carrier for bol.com shipping labels. On the next page you find more information about the shipping labels and the different carriers.
- Confirm orders through the seller dashboard
It remains possible after 1 January to purchase shipping labels via the seller dashboard, including DPD shipping labels. From 1 January it is possible for example to process your orders with DPD shipping labels via the seller dashboard and other orders via the API v3.
- Use a Shipping Service Provider
Use a “Shipping Service Provider” / shipping software party, for example Sendcloud, to automatically confirm bol.com orders. They have their own agreements with carriers for shipping labels, including with DPD. For more information, please contact such a Shipping Service Provider.
