Compliance category requirements
We want to make the lives of our sellers as easy as possible, and you, as our Compliance service provider, contribute to that. By setting requirements we ensure our partners work with best in class third parties that meet our standards.
In order to qualify for the Sustainability Program, your service/product offering should at least include the following features:
- Help partners with either company, product and/or bol compliance
- Offers partner support (response-time within a business day)
- Has presented its services to bol
- Signed our Ecosystem Terms & Conditions
- If your company connects with the bol Retailer API, a connection analysis and IT security check will be conducted.
Compliance category setup
The compliance category consists of three area’s of expertise: Company compliance, Product Compliance & bol compliance. We require you to be knowledgeable with at least one area of expertise to join our ecosystem. The broader your expertise and service the higher we rank you in our category.
Product Compliance
Support with product-related legislation and requirements, including:
- GPSR
- CE marking
- EPR
- Energy labels
- EU AI act
- DPP
- Battery regulations
- Other product safety obligations
Company Compliance
Support with business-level compliance requirements, including:
- VAT registration
- (I)OSS
- Cross-border VAT compliance
- Import services
- Import of Record
- Other regulatory obligations (for cross-border selling)
bol-Specific Compliance
Support with bol-specific policies, requirements, and operational compliance topics, helping partners meet marketplace standards and avoid unnecessary risks or disruptions.
