Update deprecation Open API & increased rate limits of Retailer API replacement endpoints

Placed on:17 July 2023

As previously communicated, the Open API will soon no longer be supported for retailer partners. As of April 1, new endpoints are available in the Retailer API v9 that replace the Open API endpoints.

Sunset date Open API
The Open API will no longer be supported for retailer partners as of October 16, 2023. We recommend migrating from the Open API to the Retailer API as soon as possible, as we can better guarantee its stability.

Increased rate limits of replacement endpoints
Over the past few months, we have been working hard to increase the rate limits of the Retailer API endpoints that replace the Open API. As of today, July 17, the rate limits of the Retailer API endpoints have been increased. The current rate limits of the Retailer API endpoints can be found here. We urge you not to misuse the fact you will have double the regular capacity whilst both the old Open API endpoints and new Retailer API endpoints are available.

Migration guide
We understand that migrating to a new API can be challenging, so we have created a migration guide to make the process as smooth as possible. The new Retailer API endpoints are designed to align with the conventions and principles of the Retailer API, and thus have a different setup compared to the Open API. To assist you, we have included an endpoint mapping, object mapping, and an FAQ section to provide an overview of the key changes.
